About The Position

This position is integral to providing residential support services to people in the Champaign County area. In this role, you will provide guidance and supervision, conduct individual and group training programs, general household maintenance and routines, and complete data and records according to individual program plans and Group Home procedures. WHAT WE OFFER YOU: Grant-funded retention bonuses up to 2 payments for a maximum of $1,200 per fiscal year! (depending on when in the grant year you were hired) PAID Training Professional resources available through the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) with opportunities to connect with peers from all over the U.S. All benefits start day 1 of employment $17.00 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour starting midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. Requirements
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- 21 years of age with valid Driver’s License
- Must pass fingerprint-based background check
- Patience, compassion, communication skills, teamwork, dependability, integrity
Responsibilities
- Assist with life’s essential activities to start and end the day
- Help individuals manage daily living skills like preparing meals, laundry, dishes and vacuuming
- Go for a walk together, enjoy playing games or connecting in the community. Go fishing, to a local farmer’s market, a movie!
- Develop a supportive and empowering environment
- Assure the residential environment is clean and free from safety hazards
