About The Position

Our mission is to advocate for and provide support and services to people with developmental and other disabilities, emphasizing choice and full community engagement. SUMMARY: The Direct Support Professional assists in providing self-care training, therapeutic treatments, and assistance in daily living to developmentally disabled individuals attending the agency's respite facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Must stay awake and not place themselves in a compromising position/place that is conducive to sleep
- Continuously assess the status of the physical building and the individuals throughout the duration of the shift.
- Provides individualized care as outlined in the individuals Life Plan, or ISP.
- Supports the residents to ensure their safety and well being.
- Observes, documents and communicates pertinent information such as behaviors, nursing, nutrition, clinical issues, etc., to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals.
