Our mission is to advocate for and provide support and services to people with developmental and other disabilities, emphasizing choice and full community engagement. The Direct Support Professional provides self-care training and assistance in daily living to individuals with developmental disabilities residing in a group home setting. About the ARC’S Residence Program: In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities. The Arc of Madison Cortland is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Support individuals to ensure their safety and well-being.
Observe, document, and communicate pertinent information such as behaviors, nursing, nutrition, clinical issues, etc., to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals and to ensure care for individuals.
Administer medications as prescribed by Physician, per regulations.
