About The Position

Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a young adult male who has an intellectual disability. The individual enjoys being outdoors, going to the playground, the zoo, playing basketball and watching TV. The family is looking for a dedicated staff to provide him with working on social & safety skills and recreational goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting him during community outings, support with safety, health and personal care needs. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and disabilities a plus. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Work hours Mon-Thurs. and 11am to 2pm and Saturday or Sunday, with additional flexible hours available, as agreed upon with the individual. The pay rate is $25 per hour. Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required.
Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.

Nice To Haves
