About The Position

Starting Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Starting pay based on location, unit, and/or client needs. About the Float DSP/Caregiver position These positions exist to assist designated units with staffing needs such as vacancies and census above budget through the placement of experienced direct support professionals (DSP). These positions provide support for individuals and/or groups of persons with disabilities in the community. Assists the person(s) receiving services in identifying and communicating his or her requests and needs for services and supports. Implements services and supports to address the person’s goals and desired outcomes as identified through each person’s Centered Plan. Seek to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Relies on direction and supervision to accomplish the job.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct caregiving experience in an IDD setting.
  • Behavioral health experience preferred for some units.
  • Complete all required training and competency checklists for the homes, clients, or units they may work in.
  • Keep all required licensure, certifications, and CPR certification current.
  • Complete all required RHA and unit specific annual competencies when due.

Responsibilities
