As a QSAC intern, you will acquire hands-on job skills, knowledge of issues, social needs, public policy areas, and knowledge about people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is an unpaid internship where you can earn college credits, provided it is approved by your college institute. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for assisting individuals during day programs in accordance with an established treatment plan. This role is part of the Achieve Program, which focuses on building work readiness skills, promoting independence, and integrating individuals into the community through recreational outings and Volunteer Training opportunities. DSPs are expected to abide by the Direct Support Professional Code of Ethics at all times. This internship has flexible hours (15-21 hours a week) and is a 12-week or 3-month program.
