About The Position

InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
InReach needs a DSP (Independent Contractor) for an adult female Individual with Developmental Disabilities in Union County area of Weddington/Waxhaw, NC. Staff will provide Community Living and Support Services for 3 days per week (Mon, Wed, and Fri).
Responsibilities will include getting individual out into Community; light meal prep and feeding; light housekeeping organization
CNA is highly preferred; but not required
Use of vehicle is provided when out in Community
Must be able to lift, transfer, and handle a wheelchair
Must be able to handle personal care needs
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday (8am to 4pm) / Some flexibility with schedule
(This has potential for full 40 hours per week)
This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift, transfer, and handle a wheelchair
• All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• CNA is highly preferred
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
