Clients have challenging behaviors and are nonverbal and/or autistic. Previous skills and/or work experience that would be beneficial including: special education development disabilities sensory skills creativity and recreational activities

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Prefer candidates with at least six months of job-related experience
Compassionate, patient, reliable, adaptable, strong communication skills
Valid driver's license and insured vehicle, and ability to pass background checks
High School diploma or equivalent.
Good communication (both written and verbal), adaptable, good multi-tasker, teamwork, time management.
Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

Assist with personal cares (meal prep, hygiene, daily routines)
Support clients through community outings, recreational activities, and skill-building
Maintain a safe and clean home environment
Implement behavior support plans and build therapeutic relationships
Administer medications and document care accurately
Communicate effectively with team members and complete daily charting
conduct meal preparation, provide personal cares such as bathing/hygiene activities, assist with routine schedules (sleep time, getting ready for work/appointments)
Increase clients' quality of life through recreational activities, community outings, leisure activities, reading to clients, playing games, etc.
assist with laundry, cleanliness of living areas, and safe walkways/sidewalks
Provide client behavior assistance, support & behavior modification according to the client Treatment Plans. Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients
Provide medication administration to clients as directed by nursing staff and the treatment plan, as well as observe and keep accurate documentation.
conduct daily review of client communication logs and complete charting
