As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Robin Hill Farm, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting and caring for our residents, helping them lead fulfilling and independent lives. You’ll provide compassionate assistance and supervision, ensuring their safety and well-being while contributing to the smooth operation of our program. This role requires you to be a positive role model, advocate, and communicator, working closely with residents, families, and our care team. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external
Responsibilities
- Performing personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
- Assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
- Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
- Encouraging self-help activities
- Accompanying clients to scheduled appointments
