DSP - Independent Contractor in Indian Trail, NC (TA)
About The Position
InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. InReach is in need of a DSP (Independent Contractor) for an Adult Male Individual with Developmental Disabilities in Union County area of Indian Trail, NC. Staff will provide Day Support Services, Community Networking Services and Supported Employment for approx 40 hours per week. This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable with dogs
- Must be able to help transfer, and handle a wheelchair
- Must be able to handle some personal care needs
- All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
Responsibilities
- Getting individual out into Community
