Requirements

A compassionate, patient, and encouraging attitude
A strong desire to learn and gain hands-on healthcare experience
18 years old or older
A High School Diploma or GED
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation/vehicle, and valid auto insurance
Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

Students & Pre-Professionals: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Pre-Med, child education, or a related human services field.
Natural Caregivers: Have you been an unpaid family caregiver for a loved one? We recognize your skills are valuable and will train you.
Experienced Professionals: Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a major plus.

Responsibilities

Provide respectful, hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), personal care, grooming, and mobility.
Gain experience in medication administration , monitoring physical and mental health needs, and preparing nutritious meals.
Serve as a patient advocate and participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Support Plans (ISPs).
Complete all necessary documentation of care, service provision, and medication logsa critical skill in all healthcare fields.
Learn to implement positive behavior supports, follow person-centered support plans, and use de-escalation strategies.
