About The Position

Community Access Services is currently seeking multiple Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Salem, OR to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have several full-time positions available across a variety of schedules, including day and overnight shifts. No experience required – paid training provided! Full-time positions in Salem are eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus.

Requirements

  • Experience as a DSP, caregiver, or human services professional is a plus, but not required — training is provided
  • At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver
  • Ability to pass a national background check
  • Compassionate communicator with patience, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist individuals with mobility needs
  • Dependable, respectful, and committed to person-centered support

Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful, person-centered relationships that support independence, dignity, and personal choice.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, personal care, and household routines.
  • Support individuals in community participation, recreation, appointments, and working toward personal goals.
  • Encourage skill development, confidence, and social connections.
  • Follow individualized support plans (full training provided).
  • Administer medications safely and keep accurate records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for the needs and preferences of those you support.
