About The Position
Seeking caring individuals to provide care and supervision to women with special needs or developmental disabilities. The home has 3 adult residents with intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions. Candidates must have the ability to calm residents and de-escalate situations when they display verbally or physically aggressive behaviors. Most of these behaviors are triggered by others who do not have a caring or compassionate demeanor.
Requirements
- Must be caring and patient
- Must be willing to complete CPR/First Aid Training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training and DSP year 1 and 2 (These are company paid trainings)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with developmentally disabled population (preferred)
