About The Position
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT for Full -Time and Per-Diem Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their STATEN ISLAND Group home residences. DATE & TIME : THURSDAY JANUARY 15TH from 10AM-1PM LOCATION : Recruiter will provide specific address to qualified candidates. PAY RATE : $20-$20.36 per hour based on driving status . POSITIONS TO BE FILLED: Full-Time 40hr Evening Shifts: 3pm -11pm or 2pm-10pm ... Drivers License Required. Requirements
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills.
- Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.

Responsibilities
- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
