About The Position

We are seeking compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services, with a strong commitment to providing compassionate and person-centered care. DSPs provide direct care and support to individuals in their daily lives, helping them achieve personal goals, maintain independence, and participate fully in their communities.

Requirements

Understanding of or willingness to learn how to support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in community settings, following guidelines from the Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs.
BLS ( Basic Life Support )Certification is mandatory.
Previous experience in caregiving, human services, or related field preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassion, patience, and dedication to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in caregiving, human services, or related field preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support.
Implement individualized support plans and follow care instructions to meet each person’s unique needs.
Promote social engagement, community participation, and skill development.
Observe, document, and report any changes in individuals’ health, behavior, or well-being.
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
Support individuals in achieving personal goals, independence, and self-advocacy.
