PT - Direct Support Professional (DSP) Support Services/ Baltimore County
About The Position
We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Support a woman in the Phoenix area with activities at home and in the community. Help her work on independent living skills around the home (meals, cleaning up, laundry, etc.) and staying active. Needs support with personal care, mobility, and participating in activities. Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life. DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by: Assisting with participation and exploration of the community Cultivating and expanding independent living skills Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.
Requirements
- High school degree/GED
- Current driver’s license with less than three points on the driving record
- Patient
- Respectful

- Able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life
- Some lift and transfer may be required
