About The Position

This position is for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in an Adult Day Habilitation program, supporting adults (22+) with Autism and developmental disabilities. The role involves providing essential support in a structured, community-based setting focused on skill building, independence, and social engagement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid and current U.S. driver’s license (1+ year of licensed driving experience).
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and adaptability.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals through daily activities, group sessions, and community outings.
• Encourage participation in skill development areas such as communication, socialization, recreation, and vocational readiness.
• Promote independence and self-advocacy in a supportive, respectful, and empowering environment.
• Assist with personal care needs when necessary (meals, hygiene, mobility).
• Collaborate with program staff, therapists, and families to ensure meaningful and individualized support.
