About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Pre-Vocational Day Program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others learn, grow, and prepare for greater independence and future employment opportunities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in human services or supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required—we provide training!
Strong communication, patience, and reliability.
Ability to assist individuals with varying support needs.
Valid driver’s license (if transporting participants) and ability to pass background checks.
Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and support participants as needed.
Comfortable participating in community-based activities.

Responsibilities

Support participants in building pre-vocational and workplace readiness skills (communication, time management, task completion, problem-solving).
Lead meaningful daily activities, skill-building sessions, and community outings.
Implement Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress.
Encourage independence, inclusion, and self-advocacy.
Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all participants.
Assist with personal care needs when required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality services.
