About The Position

As a Part-Time Direct Support Professional, you will provide hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. You’ll help residents develop daily living skills, independence, and confidence while creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass State and Federal Criminal Background Checks
• Drug screen, pre-employment physical, and PPD
• Complete all required orientation and pre-service training

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as cooking, housekeeping, shopping, budgeting, and hygiene
• Support residents in learning social, coping, and community integration skills
• Provide guidance on healthy living and personal medical care
• Mentor and encourage friendship building and community participation
• Promote independence and autonomy while maintaining a safe environment
