About The Position

Are you ready to step into a meaningful role where every day brings purpose, connection, and impact? TURN Community Services in St. George, is looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this role, you'll make a real difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities-supporting independence, growth, and community inclusion. Founded in 1973 by parents seeking better opportunities for their adult children with disabilities, TURN Community Services has grown to support more than 600 individuals across Utah-from Brigham City to St. George. We offer a wide range of services including residential programs, day programs, supported employment, art centers, and summer camps. Our mission is simple: to TURN dreams into reality. That commitment extends not only to the individuals we serve, but also to our employees. We foster a supportive, team-oriented environment where people are valued, encouraged, and empowered to grow. As a DSP, your role will vary depending on the program, but your impact will always be significant. Day Program DSPs (weekday, daytime hours): You'll support individuals in developing life skills and independence through activities such as self-care, hygiene, arts and crafts, vocational training, and community engagement. You'll help individuals build social skills, manage behaviors, and participate meaningfully in their daily routines. Accurate documentation and attention to health and safety are key parts of your role. Residential DSPs (afternoons, evenings, weekends, overnights): You'll assist individuals in their homes with daily living activities including meal preparation, medication support, hygiene, transportation, and housekeeping. You'll also help teach important life skills such as budgeting, relationship-building, and decision-making. By modeling positive behaviors and offering consistent support, you empower individuals to live as independently as possible. In both settings, you'll serve as a mentor, advocate, and role model-helping individuals build confidence, develop skills, and experience a higher quality of life. This is more than a job-it's an opportunity to be part of something meaningful. Every interaction, every skill taught, and every moment of support contributes to someone's independence and well-being.
