About The Position

Your responsibilities will include assisting with self-care, medication compliance, night routines, housekeeping, and more.   • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in working with individuals with disabilities and mental health
  • Licenses/Requirements: Valid Class C Iowa Driver’s License.
  • Proof of Automobile Insurance.
  • Must pass required background checks.
  • Access to a reliable computer and internet for documentation, or ability to travel to a location with access.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and sensitivity while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work with multiple clients by learning their individual Life plans
  • Ability to follow detailed Individual Support Plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships
  • Providing companionship, conversation, and engagement in activities
  • Assisting with care needs (bedtime routine, eating, cooking etc)
  • Administering medications
  • Observing, documenting, and reporting data on daily activities
  • Providing support with hobbies, studies
  • Read, write, and execute directions
  • Report changes in health and/or status of the client
  • Respond to emergency situations
  • Data entry, instant messaging, uploading documents
  • Other duties as assigned
