About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help care for adults with disabilities who live at our Cuyahoga County Group Homes. As a DSP, you are responsible for providing care to individuals with disabilities and will be the familiar face that is looked forward to each day. "There are many cool things about my job! I get to form special relationships and bonds with our individuals and see growth as I assist and encourage them - anything from a silly handshake to helping someone learn to talk and better communicate with others, as well as receiving appreciation from the families of our individuals." - T.B.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ohio Driver's License with less than 6 points
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Previous direct care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Help with everyday living skills such as cleaning, cooking, bathing, getting dressed, and eating.
• Provides transportation to and from activities and medical appointments.
