About the position
Come join our life-changing team building hope, resilience, and well-being as a DSP - In Home Support! This position involves assisting people with special needs with various tasks including cooking, cleaning, household chores, financial and behavior management, medical appointments, health and medication management, and transportation to shopping and community activities. The Disability Services program is dedicated to promoting self-sufficiency, independence, and active community engagement for individuals with developmental disabilities of any age. Support services may be provided in the consumer's home, in their local community, or in a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist people with special needs with cooking, cleaning, and household chores
- Support financial and behavior management
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments and manage health and medication
- Provide transportation and facilitate involvement with shopping and community activities
Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check including driving record
- Over 18 years old
- Valid driver's license
