About The Position

At EHCA, we assist people with disabilities to live rich and fulfilling lives. We provide compassionate, therapeutic, and medical support to individuals of all ages and all levels of disability while enabling them to live with purpose and dignity. Join our dedicated team which supports each person to have the opportunity to make choices, contribute to his or her daily lifestyle, and obtain the best education or training available, with quality caregivers. Various shifts working 1-1 with clients in the community - weekdays, evenings and/or weekends. Part-time (DSP) positions available. Work 1-1 or with a small group in the individual's home or in the community. Schedules may vary. The employee uses their own vehicle to transport individuals. Mileage reimbursement, $0.65/mile.

Requirements

• Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Obtain all clearances as required to meet regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform client care services requiring manual, observational, and judgmental skills.
• Implements individual client programs by following written objectives and plans.
• Records observations and completes daily notes summarizing activities during the program using electronic mediums required.
• Provides input and assists in planning and guiding clients in social, recreational, work, and other activities.
• Assist with individual needs such as, but not limited to personal care, shopping, cooking, social, and daily living skills.
• Transports the individual in the employee's personal vehicle or agency vehicle when required per the individual's needs.
• Helps and supports the clients in coping with day-to-day challenges and reports observations on the individual's behavior.
