About The Position

Join our passionate team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Dungarvin, a mission-driven organization rooted in respect, response, and choice since 1976. We are dedicated to providing person-centered supports that empower individuals to live as independently as possible. In this role, you will work directly with people in need of assistance, including those living with intellectual or developmental disabilities or other complex medical needs. Our team, operating in 15 states, is united by a shared commitment to making a real difference—one person, one voice, one choice at a time. You will provide hands-on care, assisting individuals with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry, all while fostering their independence. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that ensures comfort and support, helping individuals achieve their personal goals. Your role will also involve mentoring and guiding individuals through supervision, positive reinforcement, and support to help them achieve their aspirations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Passion for Helping Others
• Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation.
• Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members

Responsibilities

• Provide Hands-On Care: Assist individuals with daily activities like personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry, all while fostering independence.
• Create a Safe & Welcoming Environment: Maintain a clean, safe space that ensures comfort and support while helping individuals reach their personal goals.
• Mentor & Guide: Provide supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help individuals achieve their aspirations.
