Additional responsibilities include administering medication, teaching skills, supporting advocacy, facilitating communication, and planning meals. The employee will also transport individuals to various activities and appointments, develop specialized knowledge for individual needs, and collect and summarize data on behavior. The role requires teamwork, compliance with regulations, and participation in training and meetings.

  • Basic computer skills including email and related systems.
  • Must hold or obtain and maintain SCIP-R certification within one year.
  • Must hold or obtain and maintain additional required certifications within one year.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled hours as needed.
  • Valid Driver's License and Van certification for assignments requiring transportation.
  • High school diploma or its educational equivalent.
  • Work or life experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • $18.00/hour compensation.
