About The Position
Direct Support Professional Day Services - WOW East Pay Range: $18.75-$24.30/hr based on verifiable direct care experience This salary range reflects 20 years experience Please submit an updated resume so that we can pay you for your experience! Who we are: Wildwood Programs is a proud provider of educational, residential, employment, and other community-based supports to people with disabilities. Who we are looking for: We are looking for a direct support professional/driver to help promote independence and self-esteem to persons with disabilities in a Day hab program community based setting. Summary: Our Day Services program provides individuals the opportunity to participate in a variety of group activities throughout the day at a site or in the community. Successful candidates will have: The ability to interact with our individuals in a positive and encouraging way. A professional manner, patience, empathy and possess a strong desire to help others. An interest in taking an active role in by introducing individuals to community based and site-based activities that inspire growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record.
- Computer Skills: able to use email; google suite; database systems
- A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
- Daily access to a vehicle.
- Ability to pass SCIP/CPR
- Ability to Lift 50 lbs
