About The Position

At Dungarvin, we are a mission-driven team dedicated to providing person-centered supports that enable individuals to live as independently as possible. Since 1976, we have worked with people in need of assistance, including those living with intellectual or developmental disabilities or other complex medical needs, across 15 states. This role involves providing hands-on care, assisting individuals with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry, all while fostering independence. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment to ensure comfort and support, helping individuals reach their personal goals. Additionally, you will mentor and guide individuals, offering supervision, positive reinforcement, and support to help them achieve their aspirations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Passion for Helping Others
• Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation
• Good communication skills, including reading, writing, and verbal communication, to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily activities like personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry, all while fostering independence
• Maintain a clean, safe space that ensures comfort and support while helping individuals reach their personal goals
• Provide supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help individuals achieve their aspirations
