We are actively seeking dedicated DSP/Caregivers to provide In Home & Community Support, Companion Services, Community Participation Support and Respite Services. We have immediate needs in the following areas: Covington Township, PA Dickson City, PA Jessup, PA Jermyn, PA Newfoundland, PA Scranton, PA Waymart, PA

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
  • Lifting may be required depending on individual client needs
  • CPR/First Aid Certification Training is provided by company

Nice To Haves

  • Passion and experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) is preferred
  • Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Promote client outcomes in behavioral, social, and vocational realms
  • Assist client participation in leisure/recreational activities
  • Maintain a schedule of services/activities in a treatment plan and report on status of health and safety objectives
  • Provide respite and companionship to offer relief to family or primary caregiver
  • Complete and submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines
  • Complete initial and ongoing training and staff development activities
  • Ability to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to work independently in the community and/or the clients home
  • Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary, based on individual client needs

  • $1000 Signing Bonus Details: $333 paid out after working 90 days with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $333 paid out after working 6 months (180 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • $334 paid out after working 1 year (365 days) with an average of 20 hours per week
  • Applicant cannot have been employed by Abound Health (or any of our newly acquired companies) in the past 18 months
  • Signing bonus not applicable for Residential Services Employees hired as Relative as Providers (RAPs) are not eligible for the Signing Bonus
