About The Position

Are you passionate about making a positive impact? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide, you’ll provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in both day programs and residential settings. Working closely with a team, you will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and enhance their independence. Location: San Marcos Pay: The pay for this position is $18.00 to $18.65. Schedule: The schedule for this position is Mon- Fri 8a-2:30p. Who you are: You enjoy working with individuals with disabilities and creating meaningful experiences. You are patient, compassionate, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. You have strong communication skills and can adapt to the needs of each individual. A typical day will include: Assisting individuals with personal care, meals, and mobility support. Encouraging participation in daily activities and community outings. Helping individuals build relationships and develop independence. Documenting daily activities and progress using case management software. What you’ll need to be successful: High school diploma or GED. Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Ability to provide person-centered support in a respectful and inclusive way. We’d love it if you: Are bilingual in English and Spanish. Have experience using case management systems (Therap preferred).
