FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS (DSP).

Requirements

• Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Obtain all clearances as required to meet regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Feed, bathe, dress, and provide all personal care for individuals.
• Record all necessary information, observations, and daily progress notes.
• Accompany and transport individuals on various social, recreational, work, shopping, meal preparation activities, and medical appointments.
• Be a positive role model to individuals, neighbors, and the community regarding behavior, dress, and respect for others.
• Help and support the individuals in managing day-to-day activities.
• Transport the consumers in Agency and personal vehicles when needed.
• Responsible for implementing emergency treatment and life-saving techniques to the extent training and Agency protocol allow.
• Responsible for the care and upkeep of facilities.
• Required to administer medications to residents following completion of the Agency's Medication Administration Training Program.
