About The Position

We’re looking for a Direct Support Manager to join our team! This position’s primary focus is to coordinate and direct operations of our Residential and/or Day Services Program. This includes scheduling of staff, implementing program plans, and coordinating appointments and activities for the individuals served. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Special Education or a related field. Experience accepted in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience, with one year of supervisory or management experience.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid required.
  • State of Connecticut- DDS Medication Certification Card or the ability to obtain
  • State of Connecticut- Valid driver's license, vehicle registration and current vehicle insurance declaration

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • MANDT certification may be required for certain states

Responsibilities

  • Bring valuable insights, institutional knowledge, and assistance to members of the direct support team.
  • Demonstrate and train team members to interact with the people we serve in an emotionally supportive and therapeutic manner.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the residential facility and vehicles, ensuring all living environments and program activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Provide guidance and assist with emergency situations on an on-call basis
  • Manage petty cash funds and other financial accounts, as well as the purchasing of groceries and supplies.
  • Maintain medical, social and programmatic files with detailed and accurate documentation
