Direct Support Counselor
About The Position
Direct Support Counselor is desired to work in the Marysville home of a 47-year-old woman who requires 24-hour supported living services. Candidates will work with a 5-member, female mandated, team. Full or part-time hours are available. Our client thrives on her daily routine yet also enjoys impromptu outings and being participant of her community. She is non-verbal, with significant physical disabilities, and limited cognitive abilities. Paid training is included. Responsibilities
- providing mobility support
- promoting positive: mental, physical, and nutritional health
- observing, monitoring and recording clients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, and weight
- healthy communication with clients, relatives and other caregiving assistants
- personal care, including infection prevention and control, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort and safety
- performing household chores and ordering supplies
