About The Position

We're hiring a Direct Service Provider Training Lead to guide, mentor, and support our frontline staff in delivering exceptional services to individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you'll provide hands-on training and real-time support to direct care providers in the day program setting. You’ll ensure staff feel prepared, supported, and aligned with agency values while helping to strengthen behavioral skills, safety practices, and program implementation. You’re not just experienced—you’re approachable, encouraging, and capable of turning daily challenges into learning moments. You understand the importance of modeling strong behavioral skills, clear boundaries, and a trauma-informed approach. You’re the go-to person for new hires, and you help make others better at what they do.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Completion and ongoing competency in all Sample Supports trainings (including NVCI physical management)
  • Proven ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and support others in the moment
  • Reliable transportation and eligibility to transport clients
  • Strong track record of timely documentation, tracking, and administrative follow-through
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including crisis intervention if needed

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct, on-the-job training to new and existing direct care providers
  • Model implementation of behavior plans, safety protocols, and client expectations
  • Support staff through real-time coaching during behavioral escalations and challenging scenarios
  • Ensure all client documentation (ISSP updates, incident reports, QA assessments) is complete and timely
  • Provide direct support to clients as needed, including during transitions and daily activities
  • Monitor and assist with scheduling and on-site coverage
  • Maintain open communication with the Program Manager and other leadership team members
  • Help ensure high standards of service delivery and program quality
  • Provide ongoing progress updates and staff performance feedback as requested
  • Respond to urgent needs in the field, including behavioral escalations, medical incidents, or emergencies
  • Support a positive, collaborative team environment where staff feel confident and capable
  • Uphold and model Sample Supports’ commitment to safety, consistency, and respect for all individuals
