About The Position
The Direct Service Advocate plays a critical role in providing support and resources to individuals facing challenging circumstances, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. This position involves direct interaction with clients of diverse backgrounds to assess their situations, offer guidance, and connect them with appropriate services and community resources. Through compassionate communication and crisis intervention, the advocate helps clients navigate through the criminal and juvenile justice system.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in counseling, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of two years' experience handline a caseload involving clients experiencing crisis situations may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
- Must be willing to be fingerprinted.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus.
