As a Direct Service Advisor (DSA) at VIP, Inc., you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of individuals with disabilities by introducing them to new job opportunities and enhancing their job readiness. This position is designed for creative and energetic individuals who are passionate about helping others. Over the past 38 years, VIP has successfully assisted thousands of adults with intellectual disabilities, and our mission is to maximize the potential of each client, positioning them for independence and success. We prioritize promoting from within, recognizing that our DSAs are truly Very Important People in our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and scheduling daily activity plans that focus on potential job opportunities tailored to the interests of our clients. You will transport a small group of three clients from the VIP office to various sites using your personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided. Your duties will include providing individual and small group supervision while in the community and during on-site activities. You will utilize a variety of training strategies to assist clients in achieving their personal, vocational, social, and physical goals. Additionally, you will be required to provide daily case notes and timely feedback to support the progression of each client's program goals. The ideal candidate will be available to work Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Driver License, auto insurance, car registration, and maintain a clean driving record. A reliable vehicle is essential for transporting clients, and a genuine passion for helping others is a must.
