About The Position

The Direct Sales Representative for Abbott's CRM division is responsible for selling medical devices to healthcare professionals, including physicians and hospitals, within the St. Louis, MO market. This role involves conducting market analysis, managing client relationships, and providing product training and support. The representative will also be involved in inventory management and administrative duties related to sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Four plus years of progressively responsible sales experience, particularly with cardiovascular medical devices.
  • Working knowledge of domestic regulations in the medical device industry.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with sales/marketing information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Call on physicians, medical laboratories, distributors, and hospitals to sell Abbott's medical devices.
  • Conduct marketing surveys and effectiveness reviews of sales activities.
  • Service accounts and present new products to clients.
  • Assist marketing personnel with advertising and promotional strategies.
  • Provide medical professionals with product information and training.
  • Complete and forward patient registration forms as required.
  • Manage physical inventory within the assigned territory.
  • Collect and analyze information about new and existing products and monitor competitor activities.
  • Prepare sales reports and perform administrative sales duties.
