About The Position

The Direct Sales Agent Specialist at National General is responsible for driving new business sales and achieving business goals through effective customer engagement. This role focuses on building rapport with customers, understanding their needs, and retaining a book of business within the market. The position involves selling various insurance products, including Auto, Life, and Roadside Assistance, while also fostering community relationships to promote growth.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years' experience (Preferred)
  • P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products.
  • Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales and cross-selling existing customers.
  • Leverages community contacts to build a sales pipeline and establish referral sources.
  • Initiates outbound calling to target customer base for product offerings.
  • Monitors key competitors in the local market and suggests initiatives for improvement.
  • Works with Direct Sales Leadership to manage marketing and sales processes.
  • Delivers results within metrics including quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Understands and promotes company underwriting guidelines and policy changes.
  • Receives customer payments and verifies reports of receipts.
