About The Position

The Direct Sales Account Executive is primarily responsible for acquiring new clients and expanding the company's market presence by selling Arete’s cybersecurity solutions. This role requires a consultative approach to sales, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and closing deals with new customers, leveraging relationships to drive sales. This role is an important member of our overall sales team, helping with our wholistic mission to serve clients by transforming the way organizations prepare for, respond to, and prevent cybercrime.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and sales methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, or related field.
  • 3+ years of direct B2B sales experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new client acquisition through direct sales efforts, including prospecting, cold outreach, and networking.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success) to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data in CRM (Salesforce) for pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Arete’s product offerings to position solutions effectively.
