About The Position

The Direct Market Supervisor plays a key operational leadership role within the facility, overseeing daily logistics, personnel, and customer service interactions related to Valvoline's Direct Market (DM) operations. This role ensures timely, safe, and compliant delivery of bulk and packaged products to customers, while maintaining vehicle readiness and ensuring regulatory compliance with EHS and DOT standards. The supervisor fosters cross-functional collaboration with customer service teams and internal leadership, ensuring smooth and reliable distribution operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or fleet management preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience and SAP system familiarity a plus.
  • Working knowledge of distribution operations and routing software (SAP, OIR).
  • General computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, detail-focused.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or fleet management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team of 7 DM drivers, providing daily oversight, coaching, and performance management.
  • Maintain consistent communication with drivers to ensure clarity on schedules, routes, and safety requirements.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment with a focus on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and route daily deliveries using OIR and SAP systems, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Collaborate closely with Valvoline customer service and external customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and efficient order execution.
  • Resolve delivery or routing issues swiftly in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable DOT and Valvoline EHS regulations and procedures.
  • Support ongoing compliance audits and training initiatives to reinforce safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to driver qualifications, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Schedule and track preventive and corrective maintenance for all delivery vehicles.
  • Monitor vehicle safety and readiness daily, coordinating with facility maintenance and vendors as needed.
  • Utilize SAP and related systems to support logistics tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Participate in weekly DM meetings to align on performance, address issues, and implement operational improvements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by facility leadership.
