About The Position

AbaCares Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team. Our Direct Care Workers provide essential support and services to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Services include personal assistance, companionship, homemaking, and respite care. Location: HEREFORD, PA, 18056 Approved Weekly Hours: 63.32 Schedule: Monday to Sunday from 9PM - 4PM - no gender preference

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a Caregiving or direct care role is preferred.
• Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
• Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Sympathetic attitude towards the care of the sick and elderly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass a background screening and obtain required clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Caregiving or direct care role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and care to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with homemaking tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Ensure clients' safety and well-being by monitoring their condition and reporting any changes.
• Follow care plans and service plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate client records.
