About The Position

accessAbilities, a local Home care agency, is immediately hiring Caregivers (known as IDD Attendants) to assist individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in New Kensington, PA. accessAbilities values what is important to people with disabilities and their families, who are striving for an everyday life. Companion Services Employees provide services to participants living in private homes focusing solely on the health and safety of the participant. In Home and Community Supports Employees provide services to help people gain, maintain, and improve skills that allow them to live and participate in their local community. Our participants enjoy being involved in community events and we are always seeking out fun things to do locally! We offer flexible schedules! Work when you are available. Part-time hours available. Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Ability to lift or transfer up to 100 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience as a Direct Care Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide or Direct Support Professional
Prior experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
