About The Position
Familiar Roads Home Healthcare is seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to support clients in Wilkes-Barre and surrounding communities in Luzerne County. Help individuals live independently and safely in their homes by providing essential care and daily support services.
Requirements
- Completed Competency Exam or PA-compliant training program per Department of Health (DOH) standards
- Current CPR Certification
- Recent TB Test & Physical Exam (within the past 12 months) — QuantiFERON-TB Gold or equivalent accepted
- Proof of Pennsylvania Residency for the past two (2) years
- Two (2) Valid Professional References
- Clear Criminal Background Check
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Neat appearance and practices good personal hygiene
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Light housekeeping and laundry tasks
- Support mobility and ensure client safety
- Offer medication reminders (non-clinical)
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
