Direct Care Supervisor - Adult Care
About The Position
Direct Care Supervisors the Sr. House Manager in supervising a supportive adult apartment program by supervising staff and facilitating individuals receiving services to acquire independence skills and self-esteem needed to establish and achieve personal goals. Full-time, awake position. Evening position available in Rensselaer or Day position at the Troy location. Develops, Maintains and utilizes a sound working knowledge of regulations of governing agency. Sound working knowledge of Vanderheyden policies, practices and systems. Knowledge of Vanderheyden mission. Working knowledge of management practice. Adheres to the DSP Code of Ethics. Demonstrates the ability to meet the OPWDD Core Competency standards and ability to observe and provide feedback to others on performance of OPWDD Core · Competency standard within OPWDD programs. Successfully completes all required trainings. Maintains current with all required trainings. Safely transports individuals as assigned per level of supervision required. Provides direct support to individuals as needed and necessary. Requirements
- 1 year experience as a Direct Support Professional or associate's degree preferably in the Human Service field preferably with a similar population
