Direct Care Hiring Event
About The Position
Center for Human Development, (CHD), will be hosting a hiring event on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 12pm-3pm. We are seeking Experienced Direct Care staff to work in small residential group homes within our Meadows Homes located throughout the local Hampden County area. We work with adults with intellectual, physical and developmental disabilities. Each home has between 2-5 residents. We help them with a variety of tasks of daily living, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, going out to appointments, community outings, giving medications, and help with all levels of personal care needs like showering and toileting. Locations include: Longmeadow, Ludlow, Springfield, East Longmeadow, Chicopee, Southwick, and West Springfield.
Requirements
- Candidates should have a valid driver's license (all drivers under the age of 21 must have 3 years of driving history)
- Previous experience working with individuals that have medical and/or behavioral complexities highly preferred.
- Willingness to provide personal care to residents served
Nice To Haves
- Those holding CPR/First Aid and MAP certification a plus.
