About The Position
The Well Special Day Program supports intellectually and developmentally delayed adults by helping them build life skills, volunteer in the community, and engage in meaningful activities. Our mission is to promote self-advocacy, community involvement, and personal growth so each participant can enjoy a fulfilling and enriched life. We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, creating engaging activities, and making a positive impact every day.
Requirements
- Interest in caretaking, education, special education, human services, or similar fields
- Comfortable working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to engage clients both in person and virtually
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Positive attitude and willingness to have fun while supporting others
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities, crafts, and life skills in person and via Zoom
- Help create, plan, and execute a variety of engaging activities
- Support participant independence, socialization, and community involvement
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and fun environment
- Collaborate with team members to provide high‑quality program experiences
