About The Position

Springfield Public Schools is accepting applications for the position of Direct Care Registered Nurse. Qualified candidates will be contacted by the Health Services Administrator as positions are identified. Salary Range: $45,648 - $95,320 based on education & experience plus a generous benefits package . Salary will be pro-rated based on hire date with the District. About the District Springfield Public Schools is located in Springfield, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley, and serves 185 square miles of the city of Springfield and East/Central Lane County. We are directly to the east of Eugene, where the University of Oregon is located. We currently have over 10,000 students, 1,446 staff members including 645 teachers in our kindergarten through grade 12 school district. Requirements

  • Oregon Registered Nurse License
  • First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Oregon Driver’s License
  • Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity
  • Knowledge and experience with K-12 aged students
  • Demonstrated understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds that characterize a K-12 school community in a manner specific to the position
  • Ability to establish effective and collaborative working relationships with diverse staff, student and community populations

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, Preferred
  • School Nurse or Public Health experience
  • Knowledgeable about community, social and health service agencies
  • Knowledgeable with email (MS Outlook), Microsoft Word and online databases
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent worker, team player, positive, flexible, willing learner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Spanish speaking a plus
