Direct Care Provider will provide individuals with IDD appropriate care, training, recreation, transportation and other services as appropriate. This position will participate in the development and design of Individualized Program Planning and training experiences. Time management skills to electronically document within required timelines. This is a part time position. Here's what you'll do: Assist and encourage individuals to meet their maximum potential! Provide education and hands on training in the following areas: Personal Skills such as hygiene; dressing appropriately for the weather; healthy eating habits; proper exercise; communication and socially acceptable behaviors within the community. Leisure Skills included but not limited to socialization skills in different settings; participation Academic Skills included but not limited to money skills; reading; writing; math skills; crafts. Community Outings based on individuals interests include but not limited to shopping; movies; museum; library; volunteering Transportation to and from site-based services and to activities within the community. Where public transportation is available individuals can be trained in accessing these services. Assist individuals in taking their medications as prescribed depending on the services individual is enrolled.
