About The Position

She will primarily serve as a minister to adolescent girls students in the THRIVE program. her responsibilities include but not be limited to:

Requirements

• She shall be a person of spiritual maturity, amiable to the Assemblies of God doctrine, and in full agreement with the ATCOT mission statement
• Complete the Effective Biblical Counseling course or an equivalent course
• Knowledge of Christian discipleship and mentor relationships
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ideally credentialed as a minister or pursuing credentials in the AG or doctrinally similar fellowship
• 30 hours of training in childcare or related field (Provided by THRIVE)
• Maintain First Aid and CPR certification (Certification training provided by THRIVE)
• A background check and pastoral reference is required

Nice To Haves

• College degree or work experience equivalence
• At least 1 year full time ministry experience
• A good driving record (have or obtain Texas drivers license)

Responsibilities

• Conduct Bible studies
• Lead prayer
• Disciple students
• Conduct evangelistic outreach
• Engage in religious instruction
• Work with other departments to comply with all Texas DFPS regulations
• Participate in campus events and chapels as required
• Supervision, mentoring, and interacting with residents during various activities, which may include but is not limited to school, work periods, free time, and recreational activities
• Administer discipline as is necessary according to THRIVE policies
• Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions
• Provide and effectively communicate vision and planning for all aspects of the campus
• Be supportive of the Teen Challenge National Accreditation Standards and fully cooperative with the Teen Challenge National Office
• Be responsible for the physical, spiritual, and emotional welfare and development of the students while on the campus
• Be responsible for the supervision and guidance of the program staff
• Become a mentor to students
• All other duties as assigned by Director
