About The Position

Amego Inc. is dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities by providing person-centered services that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life. In our residential programs, we create a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where each individual can thrive. The Residential Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care, health monitoring, and clinical support to individuals residing in Amego’s residential programs. The LPN ensures that all medical needs are met in accordance with physician orders, regulatory standards, and organizational policies, while promoting overall wellness and independence

Requirements

  • Current and valid LPN license in the state of Massachusetts (or applicable state).
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must meet background check, driving record, and other hiring requirements per Amego Inc. policies.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, in compliance with state regulations and Amego policies.
  • Monitor and document residents’ health status, including vital signs, medical conditions, and behavioral observations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including RNs, physicians, residential staff, and family members, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Support residents in maintaining optimal health by providing education and guidance around personal hygiene, nutrition, and wellness.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual health care plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in medical records and agency systems.
  • Train and support residential staff in safe medication administration and health protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and organizational standards of care.
